Prairie Threads Fibershed--new this year!  Festival sponsor and all around fun and entertaining crew, Prairie Threads Fibershed is filling the front area of the festival grounds (across from shearing) with a huge interactive and educational, and shopping display.  Featuring llama, alpaca, and merino sheep, ALPACA SELFIES, demonstrations on natural dyeing, felting, spinning, weaving, alpaca raising, and so much more.  Their vendor booths boasts products made from their locally grown fiber.  Always ready to jump in to a lively conversation or demonstration on all manners of animal raising, fiber arts, and fibershed topics, the Prairie Threads Fibershed is comprised of Peaceful Prairie Ranch, Ranch of the Oaks (an established fiber mill that recently relocated to Arizona),  Mystic Reign Alpacas, and Prairie Rose Fiber Arts.  Welcome to the festival, Prairie Threads!



​Bear Cloud Ranch
--The Yaks are back!  A festival highlight for sure.  Come and pet these beautiful and docile Tibetan yaks raised in Parks, Arizona.  They're joined by some of their friends (goats, sheep, and a livestock guardian dog) that live on the ranch with them.

​Rakudachan the Camel--Sure to be a highpoint for any animal lover at the festival this year, Rakudachan (Japanese for 'little camel' is back this year and we are delighted to have him!  Stop by his pen down by the train and wish him a Happy Birthday!

​Llucky Llamas 4H--  Several llamas from the 4H Llucky LLamas and theAZ Llama rescue.  Larger than alpacas, llamas can grow up to six feet tall and can weigh more than 400lbs!

Baby Merino Lambs--located in the shade behind the shearing area, come see the ladies from Strong Mouse and their adorable merino lambs!

Kids Weaving Station--NEW this year!  Join instructor Lucy Jennings for a fun kids workshop on frame loom weaving.  Drop in on the half hour for an hour of instruction for just $10.  Children 8  and under will need to have an adult stay with them.  Loom kits will be available for purchase for $20.  Pre-registration is not required.  Saturday ONLY.  Sessions start at 9:30am Saturday.
Angora Rabbits--Bunnies!!  Local 4H group and Mad Hatter Rabbits will be down by the yaks and camel with their adorable fuzzy bunnies!
