Shearing at the Flag Wool & Fiber Festival

The Flag Wool & Fiber Festival welcomes back Mick Hofmann of Mick Hofmann Shearing. Mick will be demonstrating shearing onsite throughout the festival weekend. Shearing occurs in our livestock exhibit area, offering an opportunity for festival attendees to witness and learn about the shearing process. Mick will also have fleeces available for sale.

Shearing Demonstrations
Stop by the shearing area on Saturday, June 3 at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm and Sunday, June 4 at 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, and 2 pm to observe a shearing demonstration.

About Mick
Mick has been a shearer for over a decade, with sheep and alpaca shearing taking him to over twenty states and abroad to Australia. Born and raised on a farm in Iowa, Mick learned the art of shearing from his father twelve years ago. Now residing in Phoenix, Arizona, Mick is focused on building his shearing business in the Southwest region. Having sheared thousands of animals since learning to shear, Mick is a knowledgeable and experienced shearer. You can learn more about Mick at www.mickhofmannshearing.com.
