Tó Pattern Collection Water and the lack of it are always deep concerns in the desert southwest. Tó (pronounced "Toh") is the Navajo word for water. Many places on the reservation are named for natural springs or other water sources. For example: Iyanbito translates to Buffalo Springs, Naakaiibito translates to Mexican Springs, Tohatchi (Tó'háách'id) translates to Water was dug out with hands. As water can often be scarce in these lands, it is revered and deeply important for the many tribes in the southwest. The clouds and rain of the monsoon season are always welcomed. The designs in this pattern collection represent Tressa and Jen's interpretation of the rain and clouds that they cherish.

DigDeep's Navajo Water Project More than 150 years ago, the Navajo and many other tribes signed treaties with the federal government giving up their land in exchange for funding of things like housing, infrastructure, and health care. But for decades that hasn't happened.
Currently, 1 in 3 Navajo do not have access to a sink or a toilet and are 67 times more likely than other Americans to live without running water. The Navajo Water Project is an Indigenous-led, community-managed utility alternative that works to rectify this injustice and bring hot and cold running water to homes without access to water or sewer lines.
From June 5-6, 2021, 20% of Tó Pattern Collection sales and sales of Four Corners Yarns purchased to make the patterns was donated to the Navajo Water Project.
